Making of Museum

Suggestion for a Museum.

Brothers,

Always keep thinking of the welfare of the public. One day I got an idea that there are many museums in the world which are either mixed, or specialize in certain categories, but not a single museum dedicated to gemstones exists or cannot be seen easily. For this Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh's city of Jaipur- a city of gems is the most appropriate place.

The city of Jaipur is associated with gemstones and has a special place in the world for the trading of gems. It has many gem specialists and artisans who hold a special place because of their qualities. Hence, to pay respect to our forefathers and to leave behind their footprints in history to guide & promote future generations and to maintain their enthusiasm, it is rather essential to have such an establishment.

The museum may be divided under the following headings to narrate the progress from past to present and to provide simple and clear information:

  1. About gemstones (precious and semiprecious), and beads with a description of quality, characteristics, and details of the related rough stones.
  2. Tools of trade (being used from the past till today) which give raw materials (rough stones) their shape and to exhibit their development through the present.
  3. Photos of famous stones of the world and information about all important objects of the world carved from these stones.

This little write up is being presented to all for discussion, suggestion and cooperation so that this dream comes true. Thus, the city of Jaipur will get its pride with your dedication and God's blessings.

Sincerely,
Basantlal Mookim
